The basics are the same every visit: dusting the surfaces you see and touch, vacuuming and damp-mopping the floors, emptying the bins. In the kitchen we wipe worktops, cupboard fronts, the hob, sink and microwave, and clean inside the fridge and freezer when you ask. Bathrooms get the toilet, basin, shower or bath, limescale off the taps and mirrors polished. In bedrooms and living rooms we dust the furniture, wipe doors and skirting boards, and make the beds if you would like. Extras such as the oven, inside wardrobes or the balcony go into the schedule rather than quietly onto the invoice.
The same cleaner every time
Most households settle on a clean every other week. With children, a dog or a home that takes a beating, weekly works better; if you live alone, once every four weeks is often plenty. You get the same cleaner, the same weekday and roughly the same hour, so the clean becomes a routine you stop having to think about. Your cleaner learns the house: which rug tolerates water, where the vacuum lives, that the top shelf in the hall is left alone. If we ever need to send someone else, we tell you first and pass your notes on.
How it works
Get in touch with your address, the size of the home and how often you want us. We would rather come and look before quoting; it takes twenty minutes and makes the price far more accurate. Then we walk through the home room by room, agree what is included and write it into a checklist your cleaner follows. Keys are handled however suits you: be at home, leave one in a locked key safe, or give us a door code. Keys are signed for, kept locked away and labelled with a number rather than an address.
Price and RUT deduction
Home cleaning qualifies for the Swedish RUT deduction. As a private individual you get up to 50 per cent of the labour cost back as a tax reduction, up to 75,000 kronor per person per year. It comes off the invoice straight away, so you pay the lower figure and we handle the paperwork with Skatteverket. What it costs depends on the size of the home, how often we come and what you want included. Fortnightly cleaning of a larger home costs less per visit than a one-off deep clean. You get a fixed price in writing before we start.
Cleaning across Sundsvall
We clean turn-of-the-century flats in the old stone town as often as houses in Bergsåker and terraces on Alnö, and they are not the same job. An older flat in the centre tends to have deep skirting boards, recessed window reveals and wooden floors that do not want much water, so we adapt rather than apply one method everywhere. In winter we take our shoes off in the stairwell and wipe up behind us, because road salt and slush travel indoors. We also drive out to Timrå, Njurunda, Matfors, Sundsbruk, Skönsberg and Bredsand.

No. Most of our customers are at work when we arrive. You can hand us a key, fit a key safe by the door or give us a door code. Keys are signed for, kept locked away and labelled with a number, never with your address. Being home for the first visit is useful, though.
Every other week is the most common choice and enough for most homes. With children, pets or a busy household, weekly keeps things calmer. If you live alone or travel a lot, every fourth week works well. Start with one interval and change it later; we do not tie you into a long contract.
Yes. We bring machines, cloths and eco-labelled products, so you need not supply anything. If you would rather we used your own products, because someone in the household has allergies or you have delicate stone floors, we are happy to. Just tell us before the first visit.
Home cleaning keeps a lived-in home fresh: surfaces, kitchen, bathroom and floors, on a repeating schedule. End-of-tenancy cleaning happens once, in an empty property, and has to pass the landlord's or agent's inspection, so it includes the oven, inside the fridge and freezer, wardrobes, skirting boards and windows. We do both, but they are different jobs.
