Furniture does not cope well with damp and cold. That is why we don't leave household goods in an unheated container on a gravel yard, but in a dry unit with a steady temperature, where everything sits on pallets rather than straight on a concrete floor. The premises are alarmed and access is limited to our own staff. Divine Flytt & Städ AB is insured with Länsförsäkringar and approved for Swedish F-skatt, and your belongings are covered for the whole time they are with us. Tell us in advance about anything especially fragile or valuable and we pack it separately and note it in the inventory.
How storage works
It starts with a call or a quote request where you describe roughly what needs storing: a few boxes, a student room or the contents of an entire house. We convert that into cubic metres and send you a fixed monthly price. On collection day we arrive with a van and packing materials, dismantle what needs dismantling, label every box and carry it out. Everything goes onto an inventory list before the van leaves your address. Then it simply sits with us until you get in touch. Book delivery a few days ahead and we carry it back up to the right floor.
Your inventory list
The usual worry about storage is not theft. It is forgetting what you put in there. So we number and photograph the boxes as they are packed, and you get the list digitally the same day. If you only need box fourteen with the winter coats in November, we pull that one out instead of you digging through the whole pallet. Access happens by appointment with a member of our staff present, so nothing is moved without it being recorded. You are welcome to collect items yourself, as long as we know you are coming.
Price, terms and RUT
Storage is priced per cubic metre per month, so what you pay depends on how much goes in and for how long. You get a fixed monthly price in the quote before we collect anything, with no set-up fee and no surprise additions. Collection and delivery are quoted separately, since they depend on the address, the floor and whether there is a lift. One thing worth being clear about: storage does not qualify for the Swedish RUT deduction, because it is not household work carried out in the home. Removals connected to a house move can qualify, and we itemise the quote accordingly.

No. Storage is not household work carried out in your home, so it falls outside RUT. Removals and end-of-tenancy cleaning connected to a house move do qualify for private customers, at up to 50 per cent of the labour cost. We split the items on the quote so you can see exactly what the deduction applies to.
From one month, and for as long as you need. Most people book three, six or twelve months, but you can extend or end the arrangement with a month's notice. We get in touch before the period runs out, so you have time to decide without being rushed.
Yes. Divine Flytt & Städ AB is insured with Länsförsäkringar, and your goods are covered both in transit and in the unit. The premises are alarmed and only our staff have access. Cash, jewellery, passports and similar valuables are best kept with you, exactly as you would during an ordinary move.
Yes. Let us know a couple of days ahead and we will find the right box from the inventory list, either for you to collect from us or for us to deliver to you. If you expect to need regular access, we position your things accordingly from the start.
Flammable and explosive goods are not allowed in: gas bottles, petrol, paint and solvents. The same goes for food, plants, animals and anything likely to start smelling. If you are unsure about a particular item, ask us beforehand so it is sorted before collection day rather than on the doorstep.
